ROCKWELL AUTOMATION OPENS NEW TRAINING CENTRE
Rockwell Automation is pleased to announce that, as a part of a major update to our Training Services, a new Training Centre will be based in Bletchley.
Historically training has been delivered through scheduled training courses at a bespoke training centre. Over the last five years the trend has changed. Customers are now requiring access to their staff even whilst in training and costs have been cut, thus creating a requirement for training to be delivered locally. Although this demand has always existed it has accelerated over the last couple of years to the point that 70% of all Rockwell Automation training is delivered either at or near to a customer's location.
With the move to Bletchley, Rockwell Automation is creating a centralised training resource centre with a distributed training capability utilising a number of locations across the United Kingdom. These are being established to provide a localised training facility and will give us the ability to deliver training close to customers in almost every part of the country. In addition, equipment will be managed from a central location with new procedures and resources for managing the deployment of training workstations, reducing logistics costs associated with on-site courses.
The locations approved for training delivery will be announced over the next few weeks.
This change, according to John Hartfield, Service Delivery Manager "is to provide quality delivery and affordable pricing in locations that suit customer needs. We are getting closer to our customers, and no longer expecting them to get closer to us."
All scheduled courses will take place at the Bletchley Training Centre as of the last week in September 2009.
