Automation University 2006: a record-breaking success
The success and popularity of Rockwell Automation’s educational programme continues to increase; and the company's recent two–day Automation University held in Amsterdam proved no exception with nearly 400 attendees from around the region.
The goal of Automation University is to give OEMs, manufacturers and System Integrators an overview of the latest developments in automation and information technology through a choice of hands-on sessions and presentations.
Among the topics available were presentations covering the fundamentals of new and existing industry processes and tools such as Ethernet IP, Logix and distributed HMIs. Those looking to hear from one of Rockwell Automation’s partners could also choose from a range of presentations geared towards vertical markets, including automotive and food & beverage.
Almost a third of attendees stayed for both days with 80% of attendees rating the range of topics available as either ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’. 94% agreed the training was directly relevant to the business issues they faced, while 99% of attendees confirmed that the event had either met or exceeded their expectations.
