Here are the next three in our "Top Tips"series. These tips are to help you maximise your engineering efficiency and reduce your costs. Contact us directly at ukmarketing@ra.rockwell.com for a personal call.

10. Sample Code Website
This site allows you to retrieve samples of code that have been developed by other users and post code that you think others might find helpful. The Sample Code Library site is a place to share best Integrated Architecture applications, including logic, HMI and drive.

11. FactoryTalk View Face Plates and Add on Instruction Sets
Adding a device, like a PowerFlex drive, into a Logix controller project has always provided ready-to-use tags. Now Faceplate/AOI sets make use of these tags with code for your controller and graphics for your HMI. Simply download a Faceplate/AOI set from the library, then install and configure it for your application using the straightforward instructions included in the download. By implementing these pre-programmed, pre-tested Faceplate/AOI sets for devices such as drives, networks, and I/O modules, the user can configure, commission and operate devices without the need to write a single line of code. The faceplates also include many diagnostic functions to assist the maintenance and troubleshooting of your system. Faceplate/AOI sets bring the power of the Integrated Architecture to your system quickly and easily.

12. Integrated Architecture Bookshelf
The Integrated Architecture Bookshelf contains links to many of the most useful documents including QuickStarts, User and Reference Manuals, and Design Guidelines.

11) Sensing and components update

Accurately sensing the market's needs
We are continuing to build on our range of Allen-Bradley sensing products. All the new products are designed to help make your applications easier while addressing ever-changing market needs. As well as new models, existing popular and industry-proven ranges are also being constantly redeveloped and improved.
From proximity sensors, limit switches, and photoelectric sensors, to condition sensors, encoders, error-proofing solutions and connectivity products, Rockwell Automation is THE single source for all your sensing product and application needs. New additions to the existing comprehensive range include:

- 45MLA Measurement Light Arrays
These measurement light array sensors combine multiple emitter and receiver elements into a single housing to create a sensing field that is capable of measuring different height or width up to a measurement range of 1,2 meters and a sensing range of 4 meters which allows to detect targets over a wider area. This makes the arrays ideal for detecting oddly shaped parts, products with gaps or spaces, or inconsistently positioned targets, at a fraction of the cost of using multiple sensor pairs.
