Minotaur MRS300 Modular Monitoring Safety Relays

Expanding its already comprehensive safety portfolio, Rockwell Automation has released the next generation of Modular Safety Relays under the name Minotaur MSR300. This new family of expandable modular safety relays handles more complicated and larger safety systems by allowing the user to connect multiple input modules to a single base unit. It offers the ability for a logic configuration with multiple inputs and the control of multiple independent outputs.

The safety relays can handle more complicated safety systems by allowing the user to connect multiple input modules to a single base unit

The system can control up to three independent group of outputs and perform simple function-block logic configurations through rotary switch settings. Users can also mix and match modules to work with various input device types. This reduces the need for multiple single-purpose relays, simplifying setup, wiring, maintenance and saving panel space.

The MSR300’s diagnostic capabilities and communication functionality also reduce maintenance time by providing input, output and error status. The MSR300 will also include DeviceNet connectivity for control and diagnostic functionality offering safety communication across an Integrated Architecture.
The MSR300 controls up to three independent zones, with up to 20 inputs and 18 outputs, to allow safety control of larger, more complex manufacturing equipment with a single relay system. Features include:
