FactoryTalk offers real power to the user
Our internationally renowned RSTechED event, held this year in June in Orlando, saw the launch of our new FactoryTalk product offering, including details on the initial release of FactoryTalk AssetCentre, FactoryTalk View Machine and Supervisory Edition and FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition.
Real-time exchange of information between manufacturing and the rest of your company is critical for making business decisions that improve responsiveness, increase productivity, reduce costs and assure regulatory compliance |
FactoryTalkView Machine Edition is a machine-level HMI for machines and small processes that enables users to harness valuable information coming from their
plant floor.
To maximise the usefulness of this information, software must scale across multiple platforms and offer development features that streamline deployment. FactoryTalk View Machine Edition accomplishes these goals with a machine-level HMI product for developing and supporting PC-based and embedded operator interface solutions.
FactoryTalk View Site Edition is supervisory HMI software for enterprise solutions that offers scalability and a flexible architecture extending to where you need it, from traditional, standalone HMI systems to highly distributed systems. FactoryTalk View Site Edition (SE) comes with a software package that provides operators, supervisors and managers with access to critical control system data from within your global enterprise. The distributed and scalable architecture supports multi-user distributed server applications, giving you maximum control and access to information.
FactoryTalk Historian Site Edition helps to optimise manufacturing processes through the analysis of historical data across enterprise, while serving the data to plant applications. This allows fast and reliable data capture at the controller level, and at high speeds and low intervals.
FactoryTalk Metrics monitors plant-floor equipment and provides accurate, timely, granular and specific information on machine performance, while providing detailed machine event history to document performance. This data is the basis for understanding the real causes of inefficiency, waste, lost capacity and equipment states.
Another key component of the commercial launch is the FactoryTalk Services Platform. This is composed of software components or services that are used by more than one product. These shared software services form a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA), enabling applications to be developed that share definitions, administration and real-time data.
