Don't let power cuts end in tears

Various applications within a factory require battery back-up. This helps to prevent a sudden loss of power that could result in lost data, damaged equipment, and/or extended down time. The Rockwell Automation 1609 family of industrial uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) are intended to help bridge any possible power gap.

The 1609-U will provide back-up power to bridge dips, sags, or brief losses of power

The new 1609-P industrial high density double conversion on-line UPS line is available in a 3-10KVA power range for both 208/230V applications. Additionally, the 3KVA is also available in 120V.

Rated for industrial use, these devices offer extremely tight voltage and frequency regulation, internal bypass, and input power factor correction to help minimise downtime and ease disruption to equipment. Units are assembled in a tower configuration for typical installation outside the panel, or by using a rack mount kit to convert it into a rack mount construction.

The Bulletin 1609-U is designed for the industrial market to provide back-up AC power to the control cabinet. The 1609-U will provide back-up power to bridge dips, sags, or brief losses of power. It can be mounted to a heavy duty DIN rail or to the back of the panel.

With power conditioning for pure sign wave output, the 1609 offers optimal performance in an industrial environment and features high efficiencies (96%) and extended battery life.

Both the 1609-P and 1609-U lines have the capability for remote monitoring through the RS232 serial port or the Network Management Card. The Network Management Card enables the product to be monitored through RSView or via the on-board web browser.
